Review - NamNam Noodle Bar

Remember my last review of Vietnamese food at PHO 99 (http://coffeeluvs.blogspot.sg/2013/08/review-pho-99.html)? Well, do click on the link if you haven't. Anyway, I have read many good reviews regarding NamNam Noodle Bar (for Vietnamese food) which is located at the basement of Raffles City so I have decided to try that eatery with Robin when we were in the area one weekend. Personally, I feel that the Vietnamese food in PHO 99 is better than NamNam Noodle Bar. I find NamNam Noodle Bar so-so only.

Apparently, they have another outlet in Wheelock Place. Both outlets seem to have long queues especially during lunch and dinner hours.

They have all sorts of sauces.

A Relaxing Place

I love to drink Starbucks coffee and sit in Starbucks. It has a nice atmosphere. Too bad most outlets are always crowded on weekends. Anyway, Robin and I went to the Starbucks outlet at Raffles City for a drink.

My favourite drink is Java Chip Frap.

Review - Causeway Bay Taiwan Xiao Chi at Causeway Point Woodlands

Had dinner with Robin at Causeway Bay Taiwan Xiao Chi at Causeway Point Woodlands. For your information, the renovation at Causeway Point is completed and there are many new shops there. Worth to go there and take a look!

Robin's crispy noodles.

My tomyam steamboat set. I think that's what it's written in the menu. I can't really remember the name.

The tomyam is really very very spicy. Don't order it unless you can take really spicy food.

Sorry, I really cannot remember how much we have spent. Perhaps $30-40 plus. Service is not very good there though. Saw the staff playing with handphone =.=

Review - KPO Cafe Bar

KPO Cafe Bar is located conveniently in town at Killiney Road Post Office. I like that place as it was not too crowded and relatively quiet enough to chit-chat. Arranged to meet my poly friends, Yimei and Yim Hor there as I wanted to try that bar. It has been a looong time since I last saw Yimei and Yim Hor. I can't even remember how many years ago which I didn't see them! Haiz~ Seeing them again, I miss our poly days! So young, innocent and carefree =)

Oh well. We can't turn the clock back so we might as well just move on.

I badly needed a haircut!

Yimei.

My Lychee Martini.

Decided to try the Hokkien Mee recommended by the waiter.

A better photo of my Hokkien Mee. Anyway, just go there for drinks and finger food. The Hokkien Mee is seriously overpriced (if I remember correctly it's $14 or $16) and it doesn't taste good at all =.=

Yummy fried chicken wings!

Smile for the camera =)

I think we spent about $120 in total. Overall, the service there is prompt and good.

Shopping!

OMG! I have been buying lots of things lately. Beside the things I bought in Bangkok (more about that in another post), I have bought make-up removers, shampoo, hand cream, cotton pads, slippers and blouse over this weekend. Furthermore, I still owe Onyee $82 for some cosmetics products she helped me to buy in Korea. Super broke this month.

Thor: The Dark World

I wanna watch Thor: The Dark World which will open in the cinemas in Singapore on 31 October 2013. Can't wait for the movie. I've watched the previous Thor movie and it was great! Nice actions and storyline.

If I had Thor's Mjolner for a day, perhaps I will try to punish those irritating people. Haha~ That would be so cool.

Anyway, do catch the trailer below to have a glimpse of the movie.

“Catch Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World” in Singapore cinemas this 31 October 2013! For more updates, like the Official Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World Singapore Facebook Page, and subscribe to the Official Marvel Singapore YouTube Channel!”
